Christina was born in 1962 in Athens. She graduated top of her class from the Department of Political Sciences and Public Administration of the Athens Law School. Christina graduated from the Department of Law of the Athens Law School in 1988 and received her MSc in Shipping and Finance in 1989 from London’ Cass Business School Centre for Shipping.

Christina started working for Citibank, London Corporate dept. in 1989, covering multinational corporations on a pan-European level.

She moved to Hong Kong and Chase Manhattan’s bank Multi-national dept. in 1993 covering HK, China, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines where she remained for 2.5yrs.

She returned to Europe and the same dept. covering European industrials and transportation companies for the following almost 2 yrs.

Christina joined the private bank of Chase Manhattan in London in 1997 (became JPMorgan in late 2000) covering Greek clients and Shipping wealth for all the services provided by the institution. She worked there until early 2004 and helped build one of the largest books of Greek and Shipping UHNW clients.

She joined Goldman Sachs London to build a dedicated Shipping and Greek wealth business across the various divisions of the institution, Investment Management, Investment Banking, and Securities.

Whilst working in private wealth, Christina became highly trained and experienced in all asset classes, managing clients’ portfolios in both discretionary and advisory mandates with a particular focus on Alternative investments which included hedge funds and private equity.  She made this her focus when she joined her family’s advisory firm, Astir Capital Advisors in 2013 where she built up the private markets practice, especially in venture capital tech, advising managers and companies in these areas and investing early in many successful startups and VC funds.
