Emission Monitoring (1/2)
Real-time emission tracking across your fleet provides much needed insight into its regulatory financial exposure (FuelEU, EU ETS etc), allowing for more educated business decisions.
Emission Monitoring (2/2)
Real-time emission tracking from all consumers onboard, assesses operational efficiency and indicates its impact on regulated indices such as GHG, CII etc.
Voyage Calculator (1/2)
Delivers detailed performance and compliance analysis, offering full unrestricted control over all the key parameters ranging from Speed and Fuel Designation to Cargo designation and Port Scheduling.
Voyage Calculator (2/2)
Quantifies and presents a voyage’s impact in different categories, pertaining to financial implications (Bunkering, Operational & Environmental Expenses) as well as to regulatory compliance (CII, FuelEU etc.)
Decarbonization Path (1/3)
Build a long-term retrofit schedule, by plotting technical and operational measures on a timeline, to visualize the baseline impact on performance and fuel consumption.
Decarbonization Path (2/3)
Assess the investment’s profitability, by analyzing key financial indicators like NPV, IRR, and ROI, to determine the overall economic viability of the decarbonization plan.
Decarbonization Path (3/3)
Quantify the regulatory cost impact, by simulating CO2 reductions against EU ETS and FuelEU, to project the total financial savings from compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions
ShipFORCE covers the full stack of IMO and EU maritime environmental regulations: EEXI, CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator), IMO DCS, EU MRV, EU ETS (Emissions Trading System), and FuelEU Maritime. The platform automates compliance calculations, standardizes noon reporting, calculates real-time financial exposure, and generates submission-ready regulatory reports.
ShipFORCE is trusted by over 300 vessels worldwide and has been independently verified by Verifavia, one of the world's leading MRV and EU ETS verification specialists.
CII is an IMO regulation in force since January 2023. It applies to commercial vessels of 5,000 GT and above, requiring annual measurement and reporting of carbon intensity. Ships receive a rating from A (best) to E (worst). Vessels with three consecutive D ratings or a single E rating must submit a corrective action plan. ShipFORCE automates CII calculation, real-time tracking, and corrective action planning.
The Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) is a mandatory IMO technical standard for existing vessels over 400 GT. Unlike CII, EEXI is a one-time technical assessment of a vessel's design efficiency. ShipFORCE handles EEXI calculation, documentation, and compliance planning.
EU MRV (Regulation (EU) 2015/757) is the data collection framework underpinning both EU ETS and FuelEU compliance. Ships of 5,000 GT and above must monitor CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O emissions per voyage, submit a verified annual emissions report via THETIS-MRV by 31 March each year, and maintain an approved monitoring plan. ShipFORCE standardizes noon reporting to MRV requirements and automates THETIS-MRV submission preparation.
The EU ETS has applied to ships of 5,000 GT and above calling at EU/EEA ports since 1 January 2024. Shipping companies must purchase and surrender EU Allowances (EUAs) — one per tonne of CO₂ — for a share of their annual verified emissions: 40% for 2024, 70% for 2025, and 100% from 2026. The surrender deadline is 30 September each year. Failure to surrender incurs a penalty of approximately €100–132 per tonne, plus public naming and potential port bans. ShipFORCE calculates your EUA obligation in real time from voyage data.
FuelEU Maritime entered into force on 1 January 2025. It requires ships over 5,000 GT calling at EU ports to reduce the well-to-wake GHG intensity of their fuel — starting with a 2% reduction from the 2020 baseline, tightening to 80% by 2050. Ships burning conventional HFO or MGO are non-compliant from 2025 without flexibility mechanisms. The penalty is approximately €2,400 per tonne of VLSFO equivalent above the limit. ShipFORCE includes a dedicated FuelEU Balancer module.
